Field labels vanished from mobile forms
A placeholder inside the field looks cleaner right up to the moment someone starts typing.

A label moved into a placeholder disappears at the first character. Someone distracted mid-form loses the only explanation of what they are filling in.
A separate loss is the pre-submit check: to re-read what was entered you have to clear the field.
A visible label above the field costs fourteen pixels of height. It is the cheapest part of the form.
